Oh, Baby!

Last Saturday Meg and I threw a baby shower for two expecting moms at my apartment.  I had never been to a baby shower so I really didnt have any clue what to do, thank god for Pintrest and Meg's help.
We hung baby rags with clothes pins and hung them with ribbon

Our centerpieces were these pastel tubs with all different kinds of rubber duckies!

We had so much food!!!!

I made some bruschetta and some chick deviled eggs:

Anytime all the ladies get together it's a good time.

I have learned more about motherhood this year then all 4 years of anatomy, biology, making babies, women's health combined.  All this knowledge will definitely make me a better aunt...and maybe make me wait a couple extra years before we decide to have kids.
I am always like your body did what:

Overall it was a success!!  I was happy to be able to give a little something back to these ladies who have helped us out so much this year. Since this was my first season with Craig I didnt really know what to expect.  I had heard some horror stories about girlfriends not getting along with wives and import ladies not getting along with the locals etc so I was a little nervous.  My mind was put at ease after the first get together.  I seriously lucked out big time with this group!  All of these women are extremely educated, independent, and hilarious.  And their kids are the cutest nuggets I have ever seen.    I couldn't have asked for better people to spend the season with...I will definitely miss everyone over the summer!!!

Martha:

Craig's parents sent him this awesome cookbook called: The Feed Zone: Fast and Flavorful Food for Athletes.  The book is awesome! I made my first receipe from it, Spanish Chicken and Tomato Stew. Perfect for winter!

On Valentines day I made a big meal for Criag since he had a late practice.  I made pork tenderloin stuffed with mozzarella cheese, sun dried tomatoes, prosciutto, garlic, and dijon mustard. I got the reciepe from skinnytaste.com.  I had that with some greenbeans and quinoa with garlic mushrooms.

My biggest goal when I came here was to learn how to cook and I have to say after this last meal... I can cook.  I made homemade meatballs with no recipe over zucchini spaghetti.  It was  by far my favorite meal yet! I think it would have even made my Italian ancestors proud! I have been really sick with a sore throat and a head cold this past week so Craig has had to play Martha for me : )

This is my little set up in the kitchen when I cook.  I just prop up my favorite reality shows and get to work.  Last week I caught up on the Bachelor...I really am not a fan of any of the girls but if I had to pick one I am going with AshLee by name default!

On Sunday I was in a Toboggan race with a couple of the girls...I am still editing the pictures but hopefully I will have a blog up tomorrow!  It was a day I will never forget and my stomach still hurts from laughing so hard!
