These are a few of my favorite things....

from Salzburg!!!!

There were padlocks all over the bridges.  This became a huge trend last summer when I movie came out and the main characters put a lock on a bridge and threw the key into the river.  Apparently one bridge had so many padlocks on it that it started to weigh down the bridge and they had to cut them all off.

Mozart Memorial

We (me and two ladies) spent 24 hours in Salzburg.  The day kicked off with an early bicycle tour called "The Faulein Maria Bicycle Tour."  The tour was 4 hours and 11 miles all around the city, if the name didnt give it up the tour was  all about the making of the Sound of Music and a little bit of Salzburg history.

I was Brigitta for the day
Our energetic tour guide Jonas

Jonas made us do sound of music poses throughout the tour...I am clearly not awake yet.
The hills are aliveeeee!  We actually found out why they say that and the reason is if you jump on the ground here it vibrates almost like a mini earthquake.

In the background is the backside (a completely different house was used for the front shots) of the Von Trapp home that they used in the movie.  The real Von Trapp house was never used.

Overall I give the tour 5 stars!   It was a great way to see the city, and I have never laughed so hard while riding a bike.  If anyone ever travels to Salzburg I highly recommend it.   After the tour we headed over to the Red Fox for some lunch.

Goulash...loved it

We were pretty exhausted from the tour, but we decided we had to at least have one beer at the Augustiner Brewery.  The brewery was founded by monks, and the beer is served in stone mugs from wooden barrels.  I have always been a loyal fan of Bud Light but I have to say this could be my new favorite beer.

The girls headed to Vienna and I headed back home to prep for Solden tomorrow!!!

I followed this guy home on the Autobahn

p.s. Some of my older posts pictures are missing...I am working on putting them back up.
