Skype Session #2 in Maine with the Pasquariello's!
Friday Afternoon Martha came out to play. I decided to make an apple sheet cake for a coffee date with some of the ladies, and (drumrollllllllllllllllllllllll) it turned out pretty good! I even halved the sugar and added more apples and cinnamon to make it a little bit more healthy.
On Friday night we (Meg and I) went to see Breaking Dawn Part 2. You should see the candy selection they have at this theater its like a mini Haribo Factory. The movie itself was ehhhh ... all I kept thinking in my head was how did KStew cheat on RPatz. Like most movies based on a book...book won.
I got my butt out of bed Saturday AM (with a little help) to do some yoga downtown. Yoga to me means tone and lengthen. I just have way to much energy (ADD) to practice the breathing and to get in the right frame of mind for what it is actually suppose to do for you. So anyways I have done Vinyassa a bunch so I figured I would be fine doing it in German. The class started out with meditation...I stayed in meditation till I realized the the class was already moving. I went left they went right, I was up they were down. The first 30 minutes was a disaster till they started to do the poses I know. Just when I thought I was in the clear we had to partner up to do handstands. Your partner bends down in front of you, hands on the mat butt in the air (downward dog) and rocks forward you grab their hips and bam they are in a handstand. My partner rocks forward I miss her hips she falls on her head. I try to catch her while melting to the floor. It wasnt pretty. Not really the best first session of yoga here but I guess it could have been worse? No?
Afterwards we headed up to coffee to meet some of the ladies. I had my apple sheet cake and was siked for everyone to try it. First to taste test was the host ( who is pregnant) she said it was really good and then asked what kind of nuts I used...Walnuts. Just my luck she's allergic, but caught it soon enough! I almost killed my yoga partner the last thing I wanted was to send our gracious host to the hospital. It was nice way to spend the afternoon...you can never have to much girl time and their kids are so cute!
Today we went to the town of Hall to see their Christmas Market ( I have already been to Innsbrucks 4 times since it opened 10 days ago). The town is only about 10 minutes from Innsbruck and is adorable. I'm going to save the pictures from the market for an entire blog post about the markets here, but the best way I can describe them is: craft fair/Its a small world ride at Disney World/food market/Christmas awesomeness. The best part about this market were the mini pony rides. I have a fairly large obsession with mini horses and donkeys so when I saw Henry I fell in love.
Slight fixation on editing my photos in black and white with a hint of color |
Hall had the most stunning church I have ever seen right in the middle of town ( I wish I brought my DSLR instead of my Iphone)
An entire side of the Church was dedicated to Saints...
Yes, those are bones |
Each head dress (?) belonged to a different Saint |
