These are the only boots I've been wearing this season! My ski boots have been neglected.
We are in serious need of some snow. The temp has been averaging at about 40 to 50 degrees here everyday which is a tease for you guys back in New England, but I could go for a cold front if that meant we could have some snow stick around here.
It's almost February and I was in boyfriend jeans and ankle boots last game!
We did go skiing for the first time last week and there is a bunch of snow in the higher elevations, but the conditions aren't even comparable to last year. It's also hard to get motivation/think about skiing when ur still looking at grass outside your window. The weather ahead does look like snow, but today it was suppose to start and it's 40 and sunny. My poor friends are probably going to get hit with a blizzard the entire time they are here!
Craig and I have been spending a lot of quality time together packing it in before all our awesome guests arrive. It's like serious quality time too, from when the coffee brews till Craig asks me to move over because I'm hogging the bed. The only time we spend apart is the 2.5 to 3 hours he is at practice and I've been going in with him too to meet the ladies at the gym.

Without tv you are kind of forced to entertain each other, we don't really get bored we just become weirder and weirder when we are confined to our apartment because of rain.

But the time we spend together now is invaluable, we will never be able to spend time like this together until we both are retired from our future careers. When he goes away for games sometimes I miss him (after I have caught up on all my reality tv). I can't imagine how we spent 4 months apart now that we literally spend every waking hour together.
Craig's been teaching me how to play the guitar, I'm awful.

I have always had an issue with music. My parents BOUGHT (not rented) my sister a clarinet, me a bass clarinet, and my brother an electric guitar when we were younger and I think we all lasted maybe a week in band. Weird because my mom was violinist. It's a struggle for me but my first song "free falling" by Tom pretty or its suppose to sound like that.
Like I mentioned we went skiing. It was a great day, I was completely blown away with how good Craig was his first day back. He picked up right where he left off. Which is great because we have officially booked our part 1 honeymoon to Chamonix, France for some serious skiing. This was all Craig's idea believe it or not, but has been on my bucket list and I am so siked. It's also really neat that Craig's parents spent part of their honeymoon there too! I can already taste the crepes!

We also did a date day/night on his day off. We don't do "dates" ever. If we are in the city back home we usually meet up with people its never just us or were at the lake with family. We just never get dressed up and go out alone, unless were getting dressed up in snow pants to explore outside.
So it was nice to get a little dolled up and head into the city!

We did a little shoppin, went to a brewery, and went real fancy for dinner...PIZZA my favorite.

I previously had brought up the idea of serving pizza at our wedding for the meal. Both Craig and my parents said absolutely not because you can't have all these people come/fly in and you have a pizza party. I think they actually said it would be embarrassing. But you tell me this...when's the last time u heard someone say that pizza party was shit! Or man I didn't like that pizza party. Never because you know what? everyone loves pizza. And u can glam it up like I recently had an Apple Gorgonzola pizza. We could have lobster pizza and all different kinds. Our favorite and most consumed food we eat is pizza. Everyone keeps saying it's your wedding do what makes you happy etc so I've decided I am serving pizza at least for cocktail hour! Stuffed chicken or poached salmon, some starch, "seasonal veggies" and a crusty roll ain't gonna happen.
Anyways, we also went roddeling!!!!! We rented some rodels and went on a new route we found off the side of the road. It was almost 5 km all the way up, and took us 1 hour and 45 mins. Of course I was left in the dust again by Craig and had to listen to my breathing the whole time which I sounded like a 500 lb smoker. Pulling a sled up a mountain for 2 hours is no joke. I have decided next time Craig wants to climb a mountain (which is often) I'm bringing my headphones.
We just got to the top in time before the sun and temp went down. It was my longest rodel yet, about 20 minutes of hairpin turns, bumps, and laughing like children. It's seriously the best!

My cooking hasn't been like astounding lately but sometimes if you do simple things well it's just as good as some elaborate meal. I've mastered burgers and salads, and I can make a decent soup. I am currently obsessed with spinach/lettuce, feta, dried cran, sesame seeds, veggies, and balsamic. I am definitely slacking in the creativity department, but it is extremely hard to shop here and slim variety.

Zucc soup...tasted how it looks lol |
So we went shopping the other day and I swear I put a thing of healthy choice chix soup for lunch and we got home and it wasnt in the bags. Instead of having something else I made my own chix soup and it was pretty good, and a huge step for me.
