My Office

When the weather is nice...this is where I spend my days!  Rough life I know.  The skiing and views are equally amazing.  The trails are endless,  literally there is a  7 km run.  The terrain would satisfy any skier offering everything from fresh corduroy to top to bottom mogul runs.  There are plenty of freshies to go around...especially if your willing to take a little hike up to the top peaks:

Or head out of bounds:

Even when the parking lot if full there are no lines or crowded trails.  On the weekdays you can ski for hours and never run into another person.  You can cruise down at your own pace or gun it to the bottom without worrying about ski patrol...in fact I havent even seen one yet.

I just put my ear phones in and cruise all day!

Usually not a selfy snapper but its hard when no one else is around and the views are redic!

I am buying a helmet ASAP

Craig's first time in gates!
I would say they have a decent amount of snow here...

Even the lodges are stunning!  Here are some pictures of the Hoadl-House.  It sits up on one of the highest peaks, and has a 360 view of the entire resort. They offer homemade lunches, a bakery, and a full bar.

I honestly have never enjoyed skiing so much in my entire life.  The best days are when Craig gets to come with me!

The blog only allows crappy versions of my videos...they look better if you keep them small.

Craig is finally feeling better...thank god!  On Monday he still wasnt feeling 100% and I was starting to get Cabin Fever so I headed up to Seefeld by myself for the day. I could do some serious damage with the shops up there.  I tried on at least two Bogner jackets and a pair of fur boots...luckily for Craig I only took out so much cash...

Martha...

There were some bumps in the road this week.  I decided to make some chicken noodle soup for Craig.  It was perfect until I accidentally put a whole bag of noodles in.  They were all entangled and just kind of slid out all at once.  So the soup was more of noodles with some broth.

I did find these little mini Ginger Ales for him

Last night Craig had a late practice so he asked if I could cook the stuff he had bought for dinner.  I was to make rice, my garlic broccoli, and some salmon.  Pretty simple.  Except that I have never cooked rice before.  I googled how to cook it and it said 1 cup of rice to 3 cups of water.  So I did that and thought to myself well that's definitely not enough for two people.  So I put the whole package in with 6 cups of water.  By the time it was done...I had enough rice to feed an army.

What I learned...rice expands

Tonight I am making a tomato soup with the leftover 3 pounds of rice.  The next couple of days I am going to do some traveling.  Tomorrow morning I am heading to Garmisch  to meet up with my old UNH Ski Coach Tommy!!!!! And this weekend I think a bunch of us girls are going to Zurich while the team is away...should be a blast.  Have a great weekend!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to one of the Coolest NANA's around...MISS YOU!!!
